What is the Grade/Class Level Social program?

The goal of the program is to build a stronger community between families within the same grade or class. One way to build a stronger community and increase social interaction is by organizing group events that families can enjoy together. To encourage this social bonding, the Parent Association is providing a seedling fund of up to $12 per student (for the school year) to each grade or class level that plans a qualified event. Please see below for further details and guidelines.

Parent Association guidelines for Grade/Class Level Social program.

  • The program offers each grade or class level funding for a social event(s) during non-school hours up to a limit of $12 per student for the school year.

*Event(s) must be during non-school hours. Funds from this program may not be used for school sponsored events such as school parties, events, field trips, or any other school related items. Please see below for list of suggestions.

  • Event(s) may be planned by room parent(s) or classroom parent(s) volunteer.
  • Event has to include an invitation to each student and at least one of his or her parents has to be invited. Please keep in mind that the purpose of the program is to build a stronger community within the same grade or class level families.
  • The $12 per student budget may be used for admission passes, tickets, facility rentals, entertainment vendors, and/or food at the event. *Your group may choose to have multiple events as long as the total amount per student does not exceed $12 per student for the school year.

*If your event requires purchasing tickets, or an individual head count, the funding is limited to the students of the grade or class in which the activity is planned for, not for siblings (even if attending CCA), or parents joining.

  • Once you settle on a place, date, and cost for your offsite event, please send an email with these details to the CCA Bellewood Parent Association for approval. The only way to have your event cost covered or reimbursed is to have your cost approved in advance by the Parent Association Board. Please allow 3-5 days for the review and approval process.
  • Please submit a copy of the event invitation and the receipt(s) via email to the CCA Bellewood PA for reimbursement. The PA will reimburse the cost via one payment by either PayPal or check to the primary event planner. Alternatively, arrangements to have the PA pay a vendor or business directly can be made by emailing the PA in advance.

*Reimbursement will be up to the lesser of the total event cost or total allowable budget for the classroom ($12 x # of students in classroom).

  • Program funding can be used only for the current school year. The budget isn’t accumulated year over year. The last day to submit a funding request is May 31st. Please try to benefit from this funding and use it before year end!
